Day Thirty-Eight, February 9th: Thursday

Regardless of how far we live from everyone and the fact that that we’re pretty much in one of the more ghetto areas of Berkeley, I can say that I’ll definitely miss this view that we get to see everyday. And it’s not like I’ll never see it again from wherever I live next, but it’s the fact that we live on the roof so it’s so convenient just to look out the window and see the sunset, or look across the bay on a beautiful day. 

I always take the time at least once a day to stand outside and take everything in, and today was no exception. It gives me a chance to gather my thoughts and really think about everything that’s been happening lately and like yesterday, I suddenly felt a wave of content. I’m happy to be here in Berkeley, to be studying at the one of the top public universities in the nation, and to have the friends that I do who are supporting me 105% of the way. I wouldn’t trade this for anything, and even when things look like they’re going to shit, everything will work out in the end.
