Day Twenty-One: Saturday
STEVE AOKIIIIIIIIII!
Honestly, I don’t even know how I’m going to even write about this day. Should I keep it short and sweet? Or give you every single epic detail that happened?!
Let’s just say that everything that had occurred within the timespan from 7PM-1:30AM made for one of the most epic weekends I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve told this story too many times and I’m way too lazy to even explain what had happened, so I’m just going to list random details for those of us who were there.
- Chinese New Year dindin with the family
- Had my own car for the night to drive!
- AOKI. parked two blocks away!
- Weird girls in bathroom who went to Berkeley.
- Finally got inside, Datsik was still performing so we didn’t really miss anything.
- So..much…dubstep. I don’t know how people can dance to dubstep 24/7.
- Feeling the musssic <3
- Lauren is immune to everything.
- :)
- Too crowded on the floor, so moved to the balcony where we could actually dance!

Day Twenty: Friday
Woke up in Madison’s bed, had to collect myself for a little bit and then walked back home. I needed to head over to San Francisco to buy some clothes for recruitment since I didn’t have any other time this weekend since AOKI!!!!! was the following night.
I fell in LOVE with the store, Madewell, as well as Aritzia, but after that day, I can never spend money on clothes again. Too much damage on the credit card and I feel kinda bad now, but I can’t even return the clothes since they were on sale hahaha but good thing they’re cute!
Quickly headed back home to get ready for gay clubbing at FuZ with Chen-Chen, Juju, Lauren, and Madison :)))) I’ve never had such a difficult time deciding what to wear, but managed to pick out a romper and we rushed over in the rain! Props to Juju who drove through the stormy weather and got us there safely :). I say this way too often, but I really…really…really love dancing by myself heh. I think this night was definitely a preview of the night to come, and it was so much fun to be with everyone + Shawna! Hahhaha everytime I think of Lauren getting raped (not literally…but kind of) by that chick, I die bahahhaa.
Afterwards, I slept over at Shawneezy’s housey and got to finally experience what it felt like to be inside her infamous sleeping bag!!!! I want to steal it. mmmm and thennn we hung out and didn’t go to bed till 5AM… O.O. <3

Day Fifteen
Today I moved back allllll of my clothes to Berkeley! But had to run a few errands prior, but no biggie. We made it back in time to dump all my bags on my bed, pack up again for our Davis trip!
Sachi picked Chen-Chen and I up at around 5PM, and we departed for Davis to visit Ece and Andrew :). It took us about 30 minutes to even leave Berkeley though, all because we couldn’t find a gas station and went in the opposite direction for a while bahahaha. But after we finally headed out on the freeway, the drive went fairly smoothly <3. Nothing betta than being with two of your best friends hehe. We finally arrived at Ece’s complex which had a gate and security guard-stuff we never see here at Berkeley. Ate food with Ece, her roommate, and Gunjan! It was pretty good thai food and we then headed back to Ece’s place where she helped throw together a last minute kickback for us :). It was a fun night overall and I’m glad I was able to spend it with everyone hehe. Lemme jot down some notes about random parts of the night (as Sachi recalled) so we don’t forget: 3rd base, people singing levels, fuck shit..and I pretty much forget the rest heh. Love love love.
I’m glad we were able to make it to Davis at least once. Hopefully we’ll be making more Davis trips in the future!

Day Twelve
I attended my first funeral service this morning. The only thing that I could refer to to maybe prepare myself for something of this sort was the scene in Pretty Little Liars (duh…) when they had to attend Alison’s, but this one was vastly different from what I saw on the television. Approximately 25 minutes passed, and it was already over! No tears were shed on my part, perhaps because it was a very, very distant family member that passed; regardless, it was pretty eerie to see a dead body up close (especially after watching all those horror movies during SMK).
We headed home shortly after the service ended, and I met up with Sachi to visit our favorite teachers baccccck at our old high school :). Continuing our KLOT tradition (if you can see above the whiteboard…there are pictures of Mr. Thiel, Sachi, Christine, and I all around the classroom because we decided to take a picture in the same location for 40 days straight….), we of course had to take another one since it’s been a while that we’ve seen Thiel <3. Wah, I miss AP Biology and our old study groups and just the simple high school life :(.
Afterwards, I had to chauffeur my mother to my aunt’s across the bay, where I needed to drive my aunt and my uncle to go to home depot and run other errands because they bought a new house! I’ve never been as close to my mom’s side of the family since I see my dad’s more often, so it was nice to actually spend time with my aunt and uncle besides the random occasional family dinners. As I was driving them back home, they asked how old I was. I responded back with “almost twenty” and it felt so….weird? to hear that number slip out. I can’t believe that I’m not going to be in the “ten’s” anymore in a few months and it reminded me to GET MY SHIT TOGETHER because I’m not going to be able to make up all the time I wasted doing stupid shit during my freshman year. Eeeek!
